The three time World Poker Champ was born in New York in 1953 and started playing poker before reaching his teens.
The young gambler started out playing gin and at the age of 10 had won his very first gin rummy tournament, while on vacation with his parents. By the age of 14 the small poker genius had turned pro and dropped out of school.
In ‘54 Stu entered the record books by succeeding 10 grand in a gin tournament without sacrificing a single hand, a record which still stands in New York these days.
The quick talking wiz kid has been likened, in poker terms, to athletic greats like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Stu had a actual ability for betting poker except in spite of his achievements in Texas hold em poker, he favored betting gin.
