Online Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen experienced a marvelous year on the WPT where he was the only player to achieve last game in three of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may remember one of the largest pots in big stakes poker recorded history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a huge pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has earned many tv poker appearances and is considered to be one of the strongest players in the world. While competing in online poker, a different side of Hansen has emerged. He regularly plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy-in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen more often than not buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He waits for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I believe Hansen is an amazing poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is bankrupt, he has no reason to play at the table with the min buy-in.
Playing for the min takes a majority of the expertise out of big stack poker. Gus is presumed to be one of the best poker players in the world but he can’t buy in for the total amt.. I think television can alter our view of the real world every now and then. The greatest players anywhere in the world could be players you have will not have heard about. Gus can be found playing internet poker on Full Tilt. He commonly plays in big stakes omaha high and hold’em. Gus has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he use his talents in money rounds?
