Caribbean Poker Codes and Tricks

Online poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the bank rather than each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers receive five cards. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning wager, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your bet goes immediately to the casino. After the bet is the conclusion. If the house doesn’t have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, including an amount on par with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pays money equal to your bet and set odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
