Howard Lederer was born into in a family of 5 where he enjoyed playing numerous card games when he was young. He was able to access a few of the greatest minds in chess. With their help, Howard Lederer would sharpen his cunning thinking skills. He used these strategy ideas in the game of No-Limit texas hold’em.

Howard also assisted his sibling Annie Duke learn the game of poker. She was a superb student of the game as she would consistently be asking questions about how to make the proper choice. Howard told Annie Duke to move out to Vegas and compete in the WSOP competition. Annie is one of the best women players the poker arena ever. Howard Lederer headed to Vegas in Nineteen Ninety Three and participated in cash games for the next decade. When the World Poker Tournament grew in popularity, Howard made the decision to play more tournaments.
