Caribbean Poker Codes and Tricks

Poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its television scores. Over the years numerous variants on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little concealment or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning wager, which means that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes immediately to the bank. After the wager is the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a sum equal to the initial bet. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The house pays chips equal to your wager and set odds on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
